2016 Capital One Orange Bowl Credentials

The online application for media credentials for the 2016 Capital One Orange Bowl on December 30, 2016, is now available.

Prior to completing the application, please review and agree to the College Football Playoff’s and New Year's Six Bowl Games' terms and conditions.

Accredited media should only complete the online credential application at this time if they will cover the 2016 Capital One Orange Bowl, regardless of the participating teams. Accredited media that will be covering the game only if the team they cover is playing in the 2016 Capital One Orange Bowl should wait until the teams are announced on Sunday, December 4. The deadline for applications for all media outlets is December 16, 2016.

Sports editors/directors and/or photography editors need only complete ONE APPLICATION PER MEDIA AGENCY. They can request working media credentials for all members of their agency in a single application. When submitting the application, the sports editor/director and/or photography editor should list him/herself as the “contact” and register media members assigned to cover the 2016 Capital One Orange Bowl as “attendees.” If requiring credentials for him/herself, the “contact” will need to be added as an “attendee” as well.

Sports editors/directors and/or photo editors will need to register the organization’s name, type and contact information, as well as their frequency coordination needs. In order to be approved, the “contact” also must enter all of the “attendees’” birth dates and driver’s license numbers and submit a high-quality JPEG headshot.

From the online registration, media can also make hotel reservations at the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port Hotel, the official media hotel headquarters of the 2016 Capital One Orange Bowl, at a special discounted rate of $199, including complimentary internet service in-room and all meeting spaces.

The 2016 Capital One Orange Bowl is part of the New Year’s Six Bowls and pits the champion of the Atlantic Coast Conference – or the highest ranked Atlantic Coast Conference team if the champion goes to the College Football Playoff – against the highest ranked available non-champion from the Big Ten, Southeastern Conference, or Notre Dame.
