Award-Winning Country Music Group Little Big Town to Rock Capital One Orange Bowl Halftime Show
Miami Lakes, Fla.(www.orangebowl.org) – Adding to the tradition of one of college football’s premier bowl games, multi-platinum sellingcountry quartet Little Big Town will headline the Capital One Orange Bowl Halftime Show on December 31, 2014 at Sun Life Stadium. Little Big Town, which performed the National Anthem prior to the 2011 Orange Bowl, joins a long-standing tradition of top entertainment showcased during the Orange Bowl halftime show.
In November, the Grammy Award winning group for Best Country Group/Duo Performance took home the Country Music Association (CMA) Vocal Group of the Year, for the third consecutive year. They are past recipients of the CMA Single of the Year, Academy of Country Music (ACM) Vocal Group of the Year and Video of the Year. They also earned an Emmy award for Outstanding Original Song.
Collectively, the critically acclaimed Country group – consisting of members Karen Fairchild, Phillip Sweet, Kimberly Schlapman, and Jimi Westbrook – has earned more than 25 award show nominations.
Little Big Town recently completed its sixth studio album, Pain Killer. The album was released in October and features the number one hit single "Day Drinking" and fan-favorite "Girl Crush." For more information on Little Big Town visit www.littlebigtown.com.

We are excited to have one of Country music’s premiere acts in South Florida for the Capital One Orange Bowl.”
Prior to the game and its halftime performance, Little Big Town will kick off the game day celebration as the headliner for the Capital One Fan Fest presented by the Venture Card in the Sun Life Stadium parking lot. The Capital One Fan Fest presented by the Venture Card (3-7 p.m.) also features interactive games, sports memorabilia, contests, live music and more. Team pride will fill the air when the participating schools’ marching bands give spirited performances to rally fans of all ages.
